The following is a letter to a colleague of mine explaining the nuts, bolts, grease, and ham and cheese of the internet, as I learned it, and how it applies to the project my colleague, we’ll call him J, is working on. The sensible thing to do here at first is to explain the machine that is World Famous Design Junkies, my main project at the moment, and how it functions in the greater world of the internet. What you will learn below is two years of brain melting consideration turned to simple code and a few clicks and jpegs, all the while considering that, as with all projects on this still brand-new arena called the internet, the most important lesson you can learn about the world wide web is the one everyone is about to learn.

What’s that mean?

It means anyone who tells you they’re an expert on these internets is a liar.

Hey there everybody it’s time for da big time party. It’s a puppy party again, and this time it’s a whole big year being alive! It’s everybody’s birthday, and all the puppies are here, except Sheila, who has a little sickness going on, but that’s ok, cause in her place comes JUNIOR! He is the puppy that’s got the pants on. He’s the father of all these lovely little puppies, and this is the first time he’s seen most of them! So it’s super freaking special!

In this weeks Presidential Address, Obama speaks on healthcare reform. This is relevant to my interests. And it should be relevant to the whole world, several countries of which already have public healthcare, and have had it for some time! As a kid who’d always had his parents able to bring him to a doctor, up until now, when I’m no longer under my parents healthcare, this has suddenly, seemingly right at the right time, become pretty important to me.
